Authentic WW1 British Canadian BEF / CEF Helmet with Liner + Leather Chinstrap

Description

This auction features an authentic British / Canadian WW1 Mk 1 "Brodie" Helmet with original liner and leather chinstrap. See photos for condition. Stamped "D/F 79" under the lip. Liner is firmly attached with original "donut" at the crown and leather chinstrap. Marked to a size "6 7/8" at the leather strap under the crown. Leather strap is fragile but complete. Both sides of the pot have been dented in approximately the same spot, possible as a field modification of the soldier who wore it. Great original finish. A great example overall.
