You just can't find these anymore....don't believe me? Do a search on the Internet and I'll bet U can't find ANY of this model!
These were made exclusively by Titan until 2010 and originally cost 5.00 + .95 shipping by UPS Ground Service although they are not available anymore and have been replaced by the more expensive (The Contender) lifting shoes the cheapest of which costs 0.00!! Another style (The Olympian) costs even more at 0.00 while custom shoes (special ordered colors etc) sell for 0.00!!
UPDATE: Titan has completely discontinued selling ANY footwear for Powerlifting/Weightlifting and these 3 Models that they previously had are coveted by top lifters all over the world. Every once in a while I get a pair in but they sure don't sit on the shelf long!
When I got these in a deal recently they appeared to be in average "Used" but very good condition with just the normal signs of use. I decided to bring them to a professional shoe guy I use for repairs on PL gear and said "make 'em look nice" and boy, did he deliver! Except for the very bottom of the shoes (the part that comes in contact with the ground) he made these things look Like New! Check out the pics! He also replaced both inner soles with high quality material.
I actually gave them a quick shot of Lysol inside (BEFORE I sent them off to be reconditioned/refurbished) like you see them do in Bowling Alleys with rental shoes so they have been disinfected for anyone with concerns with pre-owned footwear.
Oh and by the way, I have included a brand new set of laces so in case U ever snap 1, you'll have backups. I always kept extra laces in my meet bag and it actually came in handy at Squat Nationals once where I tore a leather lace on my Squat boots by cranking them down super hard! I woulda been screwed if I didn't have that extra lace!

Every sport has a little different requirement for footwear, that is why we have specialty shoes available to all athletes of every persuasion. In Powerlifting the main concerns are ankle/instep support, traction (no slippage) and lightness (with strength you should not feel like your feet are stuck in mud when walking with the weight.
This shoe has 1 Velcro strap on the instep so your foot will not slip in the shoe. I recommend the strap and not the shoestrings be used for the tightness aspect. Many lifters loosen up the strap after each lift, like you do a pair of wrist wraps, then cinch them back up for the big lifts. It is in a wrap around design, like a wrestling shoe, which is the best design to keep the foot still and able to move about.
Remember, tightness is the name of the game. The tighter you are and/or feel, the better you will lift. After studying all the heels of the many different shoes, and looking at different styles of lifters I believe a heel of 3/4" is the ideal height for the shoe. It will increase your leverage to the point of adding 15-25 lbs. over and above a shoe with no heel. A perfect shoe with a perfect design. Many shot putters, hammer throwers and discus throwers also like it and use it for their sport as do Highland Games competitors. Anyway, this is just another product to enhance the safety of your lifting and to enhance the strength aspect for bigger lifts.
